Tamkali Limited (TLTD) is an independent Project Development and Control Services consultancy established in 2014. The name Tamkali was derived, as a creative combination of the Swahili words “taa mkali” meaning “Bright Lights”, highlighting the objective of shining the light on project status. Incidentally “tamkali” also individually means “A word” or “spelling” so roughly, Tamkali tamkali taa mkali, roughly translates to “A word spelling bright lights”

Each of our team members individually brings more than 25 years of international experience, to provide industry-focused professional services on a variety of projects in the Mining, Infrastructure, Industrial Construction and Property development sectors.

As our clients grow and expand their businesses by investing in or owning and operating assets through a single project or adding to a portfolio of investment projects, we focus on value-added services throughout these capital project investment lifecycles.

Our Project Development & Control Services provide the essential Project Management support services required to effectively manage and deliver projects. It includes Study Controls, Cost Management, Cost Estimating, Planning & Scheduling, Procurement, Contract Administration, Change Management, and Information Management.  With all these components we provide the roadmap to support the development and execution of the Project Execution Plan. 

By independently providing the Project Development and Control Services it offers a single point to access comprehensive, coordinated, verified, timely and accurate project information. This approach supports and facilitates effective real-time project management and capital spending decisions.
